The City of Montevallo, with a population of approximately 4,200 residents (excluding the UM student population), is tremendously supportive of the University and all of its creative and competitive endeavors. Located just 35 miles north is Birmingham, Alabama’s second largest city. Students are encouraged to take advantage of everything that Birmingham has to offer, from internship opportunities to weekend entertainment.
